The Essence of Oté!

A constant interplay between classical & contemporary, the appeal of the Oté! label is at once refreshing & timeless.

Blending organic elegance with artistic expression, each sustainably crafted piece articulates a distinct visual language that melds the palpable luxury of fine-artisanship with a considered sense of proportion & flair.

At times playful & poetic, intricate yet naturalistic, Oté! epitomises the versatility & confidence of those who see jewellery not just as mere adornment, but as a means for self-expression.

Joey Tensiong
Designer & Founder

A third-generation native of Mauritius, Joey’s attuned sensibility for artisanal jewellery craftsmanship & design is rooted in the rich, vibrant - distinctive Indo-French - heritage of the island of his birth.

Upon graduating from Sir John Cass School of Art in 1997 with a degree in Silversmithing & Jewellery, he spent the following years on the storied benches of select Hatton Garden workshops; fine-tuning his skills in the techniques of diamond mounting, stone-setting and metalsmithing; as well as forging new traditions in the use of mixed media, such as non-precious metals, resin, onyx & enamel.

Since returning his attention to Jewellery design in 2006, in addition to Oté!, he has designed and manufactured collections for labels including Baldessarin, Kenzo, Asprey & Garrard.

Our Ethos

Small-scale. Hand-crafted. Sustainably-sourced.

From carefully selected gemstones to lab-grown diamonds; the unique beauty of each raw element is showcased sensitively through pieces designed with intention and integrity.

Favouring limited-runs, and one-of-a-kind creations, over large-batch production; we make jewellery that will endure and last.

Writing our own Story

Immersed in the traditions of bench jewellery-making, Joey’s early Hatton Garden apprenticeship set the course for a career dedicated to the thoughtful realisation of imaginative design through well-honed craft and technique.

With the intimate knowledge that befits the meticulous process behind the creation of enduring pieces, Joey has nurtured decades-long relationships with artisan makers, jewellers, clients and collectors through successive seasons of capsule collections and exquisite bespoke commissions.

With an official launch anticipated for A/W 2026, Oté! represents the natural culmination of a vision grounded in a reverence for the beauty and provenance of traditional jewellery making.
